Kevin Bayliss Car Accident Windsor, ON Death: Beloved Resident tragically Passed Away

Kevin Bayliss Car Accident Windsor, ON Death

It is with profound sorrow that we mourn the tragic passing of Kevin Bayliss, affectionately known as OG Kevin Bayliss, who lost his life in a car accident in Alberta, Canada, where he had been residing for the past decade. Though he lived far from Windsor, Ontario, his heart remained deeply connected to the community that shaped him. Our deepest condolences extend to his grieving family, loved ones, and the many brothers and sisters who were touched by his unwavering dedication. As we pray for Allah’s mercy upon him, let us honor his legacy of love, mentorship, and faith.

Kevin Bayliss was a cornerstone of the Muslim Youth Club (MYC) at the Windsor Islamic Association, building it from the ground up with tireless effort and boundless compassion. He poured his time and energy into creating a safe space for young believers to grow, bringing in older brothers as mentors and coaches who guided the next generation. His impact was immeasurable—fostering spiritual development, organizing events, and instilling values of brotherhood and righteousness. Those who knew him, like Br. Dean Bakkaoui, Br. Mohamed Nur, and Br. Majed Mahmoud, remember him as a direct force in shaping lives, often without receiving the thanks he deserved. Kevin’s generosity extended beyond the MYC; he volunteered at community gatherings, led prayers, and supported initiatives that strengthened Windsor’s Muslim community. His faith was his guiding light, and he lived it through acts of service, always prioritizing others over himself.

Though he moved to Alberta years ago, Kevin’s roots in Windsor ran deep. He cherished memories of growing up there, and his absence is felt acutely by those who wish they had done more to keep him close. As a devoted husband, father, and friend, he balanced family life with his commitments, creating a home filled with love and Islamic teachings. Kevin was known for his wisdom, humor, and ability to inspire—whether sharing stories of faith or encouraging perseverance. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his spouse, children, siblings, and a vast network of MYC brothers who testify to his righteousness.

Kevin’s passing reminds us of Allah’s greater plan, and we pray for his forgiveness, acceptance as martyrdom, and the highest levels of Paradise (Jannah). May Allah grant patience and contentment to his family and friends. Join us for condolences at the WIA Center in Windsor this Friday from 6-9 PM, inshaAllah.
