In the wake of Patrick Eugene McCarty’s passing on January 25, 2026, at the age of 46, we gather to mourn the loss of a beloved soul whose spirit touched so many in Birmingham, Alabama, and beyond. Born on June 9, 1979, Patrick lived a life filled with passion, adventure, and unwavering love for those around him. Though his journey ended too soon, his legacy of joy, camaraderie, and devotion will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew him. Our deepest condolences go out to his grieving family and friends during this profoundly difficult time.
Patrick was a man of many loves and boundless energy. He found pure exhilaration in riding and meticulously working on his cherished Harley Davidson motorcycle, where the roar of the engine mirrored his adventurous heart. The woods were his playground, where he’d tear through trails on his four-wheeler or Jeep, often surrounded by friends and family who shared in the thrill. Summers meant escaping to the beach, soaking in the sun and surf, while camping in his RV became a cherished ritual—complete with bonfires, stories, and the simple pleasures of the outdoors. Music was his soundtrack, fueling impromptu jams and gatherings, and his culinary talents shone when he cooked hearty meals for loved ones, turning every occasion into a feast of laughter and warmth.
Above all, Patrick’s endless love for his wife, Jennifer, and his children—daughters Kendall and Kyleigh, son Asher, and step-son Isaac—was the cornerstone of his world. He adored spending time with his nieces and nephews, who affectionately called him “Uncle Bubba,” embodying the fun uncle who made every moment memorable. His kindness extended to everyone; he was loved by all, a friend to many, and a pillar of support for his siblings and extended family. Patrick was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Diane McCarty, and brother, Ricky Wade McCarty, and he is survived by his father, R.W. McCarty (Buddy), step-mother Linda Holloway, brothers Randy McCarty, Baron Weber (Janet), and step-brother Gary Holloway (Marne), sisters Beth Brakefield (Josh) and Peggy Lawson (Cory), sister-in-law Teresa McCarty, in-laws Randy and Patty Haught, and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and countless friends.
Patrick’s life was a celebration of freedom and connection, and in his honor, we invite you to join the celebration of life at Unity Baptist Church in Kimberly, Alabama (9319 Brookhaven Dr.), on Sunday, February 8th, from 2-4 PM. Let us remember him not with sorrow alone, but with gratitude for the love he shared and the memories he created. May his spirit continue to inspire us to embrace life’s adventures.
