With heavy hearts and deepest sympathy, we mourn the loss of Alison Martin of Aurora, Ontario. Alison’s passing at just 26 years old is a heartbreaking loss that has touched the lives of all who knew and loved her. Though her time here was far too short, the light she brought into the world will never fade.
Alison was truly a bright and beautiful soul — someone whose smile, laughter, and sparkling eyes could lift the spirits of anyone around her. She carried compassion and kindness in everything she did, leaving a lasting impression on friends, classmates, teammates, and family alike. From her early days playing hockey with the Aurora Panthers to her years at Regency Acres, Williams High School, and Laurier University, Alison formed deep connections and meaningful friendships that will be cherished forever.
She embraced life with enthusiasm and joy, whether snowboarding, running, cheering on McLaren and Lando Norris with her dad, or attending concerts filled with music she loved. Her first half-marathon in May 2025 was a reflection of her determination and adventurous spirit — a testament to the way she faced life with courage, humor, and heart.
Alison’s love for her family and friends was evident in every moment she shared with them. She found happiness in simple joys — reading, cooking beautiful meals, spending time with those she loved — and those moments now become precious memories for all who grieve her loss.
She leaves behind her loving parents, John and Jeanne; her brother Greg and sister-in-law Allie; extended family; and a wide circle of friends whose lives are forever changed because of her presence. Though she is reunited with her grandparents, Jack and Ada Martin, and Erwin and Ernestine Miller, her absence here on earth is deeply felt.
As we remember Alison, we also celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and meaning. Her legacy lives on through the kindness she showed, the friendships she nurtured, and the joy she brought to so many hearts. Though words cannot heal this sorrow, may her family and loved ones find comfort in the memories they hold and in the knowledge that Alison’s spirit will always remain with them.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Alison’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. May her memory continue to inspire love, compassion, and light — just as she did every day of her life. Rest in peace, dear Alison. You will always be loved, remembered, and missed.
